Progress Report

My word count to date on the NaNoWriMo contest is 9,772 words. The target by the end of the day is to have 11,669, so I'm only behind 1,879 words. I think that's pretty good considering where I was a couple of days ago. The book will not likely win a Pulitzer, nor probably ever see the light of day. Here's what I'm proud of: I'm working on it diligently. I am learning a lot about my writing voice and my point of view. I'm getting better at dialogue, and I'm hanging with it. It is not my best writing by a long shot, but it certainly is not my worst, thank heavens!
